Why choose Chrysalis Design....
With over 10 years in the bathroom product and design industry I haven't seen it all but I've seen a lot. I've seen the tiny broom closets posing as bathrooms
and I've seen bathrooms the size of my lounge. I started my career in the bathroomware industry as white (and the "lovely" almond ivory) powder coated
tapware was on it's way out and now it's back (not the almond ivory thank goodness) in a new and sexy reinvention. I know the trends and I know how to balance
what's trendy with what will still look great in the future.
Yes I did just describe tapware as sexy. I love bathroom design and I drool over sexy new tapware! That's me! I'm the friend who has to check out the bathroom
at a restaurant or hotel because that's what I do. I'm passionate about great bathroom and interior design and in my down time I devour interior design magazines.
It's just my thing! By the way Euro Restaurant has a pretty cool ladies bathroom...
Bathrooms are one of the most dreaded rooms to renovate by homeowners, I feel your pain, I really do. As one of the rooms in your house that requires the
most technical knowledge and tradespeople to renovate it's understandable that you may feel overwhelmed once making the decision to turn your bathroom
into the place of bubbles and bliss that you desire. That's where I can help hun!
So why choose to work with me?
* You save time by only consulting with one person....Me! You don't have to keep explaining what it is you want to the bathroomware consultant or the
salesperson in the tile shop . Let me do that for you. It will keep your weekends free for fun stuff like sleeping in or winery tours... or even sports if that's your thang
the plus side is I love doing that type of thing! Win / Win baby!
* I can advise on colours, materials & finishes, layout and fittings without bias towards a preferred supplier or manufacturer. I can, and will, give you an honest,
independent comparison on all the options you are considering.
* I’m not affiliated with any one particular bathroomware brand or merchant (however Mico Bathrooms is where my love affair with bathrooms began)
nor do I get any sort of commission from recommending one product over another. If I recommend a product it is because it fits your needs for your space
and I have confidence in it’s quality. I do have many contacts within the bathroom industry and that can work to your advantage, as part of the
Gold Design Experience I will obtain product pricing for you from my trusted suppliers.
* I usually have at least two options for you to consider and then together we will fine tune one as the ideal solution. At the end of the design process
you have plans and elevations (level of detail depends on your Design Experience) that you can study for as long as you like before choosing your renovation team.
* You save time and money because everybody is quoting on exactly the same thing. Because you will have the plans for the builder, plumber, tiler (and even
electrician!) to quote from there should be little to no surprises. The plumber, for example, knows that he needs to allow for installation of an inwall cistern and
wall-hung pan rather than a standard close-coupled toilet suite. The builder knows he needs to allow labour time for creating those recesses or ledges
that can add that wow factor. The tiler even needs to know what type of tile you have chosen, especially if it's mosaics or a sexy as marble tile.
* When you chose me as your bathroom designer (and we've created a bliss and bubbles paradise through one of the Design Experiences) I'm always
available for consultation throughout the actual renovation process...I'm there to be your Designer BFF.
I'll hold your hand as much as you need throughout the whole process. There are always little questions and decisions that come up throughout the
renovation process and whilst the detailed design plans answer a lot of those questions for your renovation team there are always curveballs or the
unknown factors that come into play once the walls are opened. I’ll just be a text, email or call away. If this is the type of help you need just by itself
I offer the "Designer Friend" service.
